Greenhous High Ercall is looking for an organised, reliable and proactive Logistics Assistant to join our busy team.

As a Logistics Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of our logistics operations, helping to ensure vehicle movements, deliveries and collections are coordinated efficiently. You will work closely with colleagues across different departments to keep operations running smoothly, maintain accurate records and ensure vehicles are moved within agreed timescales.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong organisational skills and is looking to develop their experience within logistics and vehicle operations.

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm with 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid) i.e. 42.5 hours per week.

Salary: £28,089.10 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the logistics team.

• Assist with coordinating vehicle movements, deliveries and collections between sites and customer locations.

• Liaise with drivers, dealerships and internal departments to ensure vehicle movements are organised efficiently.

• Maintain accurate records of vehicle locations, movements, deliveries and collections.

• Update internal systems with relevant vehicle and logistics information.

• Monitor the progress of vehicle movements and follow up on any delays or outstanding requirements.

• Assist with planning and prioritising daily workloads to meet operational requirements.

• Ensure relevant paperwork and vehicle documentation is completed accurately and kept up to date.

• Respond to queries from colleagues and other departments regarding vehicle movements and delivery schedules.

• Help identify and resolve logistical issues as they arise, escalating where necessary.

• Support the team in ensuring vehicles are handled and moved in line with company procedures.

• Maintain organised records and ensure information is readily available when required.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the smooth running of the operation.

• Follow company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.

• Carry out any other duties that may be required to meet the needs of the business.

Ideally, we are looking for:

• Previous experience in a logistics, transport, administration or coordination role.

• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

• Good communication skills and confidence when liaising with different teams.

• Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office.

• The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and following up outstanding tasks.

• A reliable, flexible and positive approach to work.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• The ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
